Ecolab 2nd-Quarter Sales Climb 18%

Ecolab Inc. has reported second-quarter net sales of US$3.16 billion, an increase of 18% from $2.68 billion one year earlier.
Ecolab’s second-quarter profit rose from $128.9 million, or $0.45 per share, one year ago to $310.8 million, or $1.09 per share. Sales in the company’s global institutional division soared 34% to $978.9 while its global industrial division increased sales 4% to $155 billion.
