Douglas M. Baker, Jr., executive chairman of the board of directors of Ecolab Inc., has informed the company he will step down from the board following the expiration of his current term.

Baker’s term is set to end at Ecolab’s 2022 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 5, 2022. He has been with Ecolab since 1989 and was CEO for 16 years from July 2004 to December 2020. Christopher Beck, current Ecolab CEO and president, has been elected to succeed Baker as chair. Beck will also retain his current responsibilities.
