Ecolab Names New CFO

Ecolab Inc. has appointed Scott Kirkland chief financial officer (CFO), effective January 1, 2022.

Kirkland has been with Ecolab since 2005, serving in a variety of financial leadership roles during his 15-year tenure. He currently serves as the company’s corporate controller and senior vice president. Kirkland succeeds Dan Schmechel, who has decided to step down after being with Ecolab for more than 27 years. Schmechel has served as CFO since 2012 and will remain with Ecolab through a transition period and retire in mid-year 2022.
