Essity Acquires Australian Hygiene Company
February 18, 2021Essity has entered into an agreement to acquire Australian hygiene company Asaleo Care for approximately US$588,800.
Springvale, Australia-based Asaleo Care manufactures, markets, and distributes personal care and professional hygiene products, flushable wipes, and toilet and facial tissue throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. The company has 15 manufacturing and distribution facilities, employing approximately 700 workers. The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of this year.
