Hill & Markes Donates to Local Schools

Hill & Markes Inc. recently hosted its annual Backpack Giveback fundraiser to benefit local schoolchildren.
Hill & Markes employees collaborated with vendors such as Essendant; Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional; and the Clorox Co., parent company of CloroxPro™, to fill more than 1,100 backpacks with school supplies. The backpacks were distributed to students in school districts throughout the Albany, New York, area.
“We are very proud to be able to support the communities that we live in and serve by providing backpacks and supplies for children in need,” said Bill Miller, Hill & Markes vice president of purchasing and marketing. “The excitement and appreciation expressed by the community has been overwhelming. It makes the work that goes into our Backpack Giveback program well worth it. We are grateful to have such giving employees and partners that make this all happen.”
