IICRC Announces Two New Partnerships

November 18, 2022 IICRC Announces Two New Partnerships

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has entered into new partnerships with two nonprofit organizations—the Armed Forces Housing Advocates (AFHA) and the Change the Air Foundation (CTA).

AFHA works to end substandard housing conditions for military families. Nearly 80% of the organization’s cases over the last year have involved homes with mold-related issues, with AFHA citing IICRC standards for mold remediation in many of their cases. CTA works to elevate public health by meaningfully addressing the impact water damage, mold, and other pollutants have on indoor air quality.

Representatives from the IICRC, AFHA, and CTA recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with staff members from various Congressional offices and advocate for the Military Housing Readiness Council Act. The proposed legislation would create a 17-member council that would advise the U.S. Department of Defense on the best practices and policies for military housing.
