Industry Loses Former EDIC Sales Manager

William J. Townson, former EDIC national sales manager, passed away June 20, 2023. He was 81 years old.
Townson was born April 29, 1942, in Philadelphia. Inspired by his uncle, a cleaning chemicals manufacturer, Townson was drawn to a career in jansan equipment and supplies. In the late 1960s, he was employed as a regional manager for the Kent Company and then as regional and divisional sales manager for Breuer Electric. Townson was named salesman and sales manager of the year several times while with Breuer. He joined EDIC in early 2000, assuming the position of national sales manager, a role he held until his retirement. Later as a side business, Townson repaired the same floor machines he once sold, employing all three of his sons.
