ISSA Sponsors Women In Government Service Project

On November 18, ISSA sponsored the Women In Government’s Leadership & Innovation Summit’s service project in Orlando, Florida. The summit convenes state legislators and stakeholder experts with broad perspectives and experiences to amplify the work of female lawmakers.

During the event attendees helped assemble 175 personal care product kits for One Heart for Women and Children. The kits were filled with menstrual products, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and deodorant donated by ISSA member companies. One Heart for Women and Children’s mission is to provide necessary resources for struggling families as they transition through and overcome hardships in the Central Florida region and beyond.

“Thank you to Women In Government for giving ISSA the opportunity to be a part of such a great event and for finding such a great local charity. It was great to see so many state lawmakers wanting to participate in the service project and learn more about the cleaning industry and our efforts to end period poverty,” said ISSA Director of Government Affairs John Nothdurft.
