Kärcher has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Curtea de Argeș, Romania, later this year.

The US$24 million facility is expected to be operational by October, according to News.Ro, and will produce wet-dry vacuum cleaners, floor machines, and other cleaning equipment. Kärcher has targeted Romania as a region for growth and has doubled its business in the country in the past five years. In 2020, Kärcher reported sales of $27 million in the area.

“This investment is part of our accelerated growth plan to double our turnover over the next five years. Kärcher products have national coverage in Romania through an expanding retail presence and network of authorized dealers,” said Monica Iavorschi, general manager of Kärcher’s Romania division.
