Kimberly-Clark Increases 3rd-Quarter Sales

Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, reported third-quarter net sales of US$5.1 billion, an increase of 1% from a year ago.

Kimberly-Clark also reported a quarterly net income of $470 million, a slight decline of 2% from $479 million for the same period last year. Net sales in the company’s Kimberly-Clark Professional segment rose 5% from the previous year to $836 million, while the personal care division saw sales decline 1% to $2.6 billion and its consumer tissue segment watched sales increase 2% to $1.5 billion.

“Our third-quarter results reflect strong execution by our teams around the world in the face of a challenging macro environment,” said Mike Hsu, Kimberly-Clark CEO. “We delivered organic sales growth across all our segments and continued to provide our consumers with value-inspired innovation.”
