Kimberly-Clark Nominates New Board Member

Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, announced that Sylvia Mathews Burwell has been nominated for election to its board of directors.

Burwell has served as the president of American University since 2017. Prior to joining American University, she served as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2014 to 2017. If successfully elected, Burwell will succeed Ian Read, who is retiring from the company’s board this year. The official election will take place at Kimberly-Clark’s annual shareholder’s meeting on April 27, 2022.
