Kimberly-Clark to Support Green Hydrogen Generation Project

Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, has signed an agreement with United Kingdom-based energy development firm Carlton Power.

The deal calls for Kimberly-Clark to invest in and support the development of a 35W electrolyser in Cumbria, England, for green hydrogen production, edie reports. The US$46 million power plant is expected to be fully operational by 2025. Kimberly-Clark will use the hydrogen to power its nearby manufacturing plant that produces tissue products. In addition to the energy procurement, Kimberly-Clark will work with Carlton Power on the project’s technical specifications.
