Lanxess Announces New Sustainability Goals

April 26, 2023

Lanxess has announced plans to make its entire value chain climate-neutral by 2050.

As part of that sustainability plan, the company’s flavors and fragrances business unit will offer sustainable product variants across its entire product portfolio of flavors, fragrances, preservatives, and animal nutrition products by the end of 2023. Lanxess has entered into strategic collaborations with its key suppliers to deliver suitable sustainable raw materials, which include bio-based and circular raw materials as an alternative to crude oil derivatives, along with raw materials with a reduced carbon footprint.

“With the transformation of our production, we are pioneers in offering sustainable products and are actively shaping the development towards more sustainability in the personal and home care industry. At the same time, we are helping our customers to achieve their own sustainability goals,” said Holger Hueppeler, head of Lanxess’ flavor and fragrances division.
