Massachusetts Commission for the Blind Honors Sodexo

August 19, 2022 Massachusetts Commission for the Blind Honors Sodexo

Sodexo has been named 2022 Employer of the Year by the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB).

The commission recognized Sodexo for its hiring of those with sight impairment and blindness at various accounts throughout Massachusetts, including UMass Boston, Bridgewater State, and Framingham State universities. The company was also recently recognized by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) for its disability hiring initiatives.

“Sodexo has demonstrated a strong commitment to a workforce that is inclusive of people with disabilities. They not only provide employment, but also increase independence and self-determination for individuals across Massachusetts who are legally blind,” MCB Commissioner David D’Arcangelo said. “We are grateful for their model efforts toward inclusivity and are pleased to name Sodexo this year’s MCB Employer of the Year.”
