P&G Personal Care President Announces Retirement

Markus Strobel, president of global skin and personal care for Proctor & Gamble (P&G), parent company of Proctor & Gamble Professional (P&G PRO), has announced his retirement, effective August 1.

Strobel has been with P&G since 1991, when he joined the company in brand management for the health and beauty division. He has served in his current position since 2017. In a series of related moves, Freddy Bharucha, current the president of P&G’s North American personal care and beauty operations, has been named global president of personal care, and Sue Kyung Lee, current CEO of the company’s SK-II division, has been appointed global president of P&G skin care. Both will assume their new positions effective July 1.

“Markus has been a powerfully effective leader of our skin and personal care businesses over the last six years, in addition to his previous contributions on brands like SK-II, Braun, and Pantene,” Alex Keith, CEO of P&G’s beauty division. “His impact on our global skin and personal care businesses is unique, resulting in consistent, strong growth across Olay, Old Spice, Secret, and more.”
