P&G Reports 2nd-Quarter Sales Increase

Procter & Gamble (P&G), parent company of Procter & Gamble Professionalhas reported a fiscal-second-quarter revenue of US$19.7 billion, an increase of 8% from a year earlier.

The company reported an operating income of $5.4 billion, up 20% from $4.5 billion a year earlier. Net sales for P&G’s health care divisions increased 9%, while sales in its beauty segment rose 6%. The company’s fabric and home care division reported a12% jump in net sales and its baby, feminine, and family-care segment raised sales 6%.
