SC Johnson Assists NBA Team With Sustainability
May 12, 2021SC Johnson, parent company of SC Johnson Professional, has been named the official sustainability partner and the official disinfectant and commercial cleaning partner of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks.
Beginning next NBA season, SC Johnson will provide the team with new co-branded polyethylene terephthalate (PET) cups for use in its home stadium Fiserv Forum and the surrounding outdoor fan experience area, the Deer District. SC Johnson will also outfit the Milwaukee stadium with recycling receptacles. The company will then turn the PET cups into 100% post-consumer recycled bottles for its cleaning products.
“Plastic waste is one of the great environmental challenges we face today, and our partnership with the Milwaukee Bucks is one of many local solutions to this global problem,” said Fisk Johnson, SC Johnson CEO. “By teaming up with the Bucks, we can create recycling infrastructure at scale for Fiserv Forum, bring awareness to this critical issue, and help close the plastic recycling loop.”
Additionally, as the Bucks’ official disinfectant and commercial cleaning partner, SC Johnson will provide cleaning and disinfecting products and training to Fiserv Forum staff.
