Sofidel Acquires Hakle Trademark and Other Brands

Sofidel recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with Hakle GmbH to acquire the Hakle trademark and other brands.

The framework of the agreement includes the acquisition by Sofidel of consumer brand Hakle and other brands, including Dick&Durstig and Servus, along with intellectual property rights and domains.

The signed transaction structure allows Hakle GmbH to continue with paper production and paper processing operations under a new name at the Düsseldorf-Reisholz site.

“This acquisition strengthens our positioning in the European consumer brands market,” said Luigi Lazzareschi, Sofidel Group CEO.

“Our perseverance in the bidding process was as correct as important. We were able to win over an owner-managed strategic investor to realign us,” said Volker Jung on behalf of Hakle GmbH.

The acquisition will become effective upon completion of the authorization process required by applicable legislation.
