Three Ecolab Facilities Certify to Water Stewardship Standard

March 23, 2022 Three Ecolab Facilities Certify to Water Stewardship Standard

Ecolab Inc. announced that three of the company’s facilities have achieved certification to the Alliance for Water Stewardship’s (AWS) global standard for water stewardship.

Ecolab’s facility in Taicang, China, is its first to receive platinum certification. Two properties in Mexico also were recognized for successfully developing and implementing water-reduction projects. The AWS Standard is an International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labeling (ISEAL)- compliant framework developed to promote sustainable freshwater use and to evaluate water stewardship practices.

“Smart water management is essential to protect the environment and human health in our local communities,” said Emilio Tenuta, Ecolab chief sustainability officer. “It is also fundamental to the success of our business.”
