The attached photos of the spotless space is from one of our projects, Doha Clinic Hospital, a healthcare facility. While all areas are meticulously maintained, we’ve chosen to highlight a patient room and toilet as our entry for the spotless space competition.
What specific measures do you or your team implement to ensure this space meets the highest standards of cleanliness and embodies the value of clean?
The following measures were implemented to ensure all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness:
- Identification of areas based on risk level (high, medium, or low).
- Development of appropriate work schedules/PPM, which are strictly followed and monitored.
- Regular inspections and audits conducted by the Project Manager, Supervisor, In-house BICSc Assessor, and QHSE Team.
- Ongoing staff training, including regular TBT, refresher courses, meetings, and the display of informative posters.
- Recognition and awards for the team and outstanding staff members, serving as motivation for continuous improvement.
- Provision of excellent welfare facilities, including quality accommodation, transportation, and food.
How does cleaning this space contribute to the health and safety of those who use it?
A clean and spotless environment is crucial for the health and safety of users, particularly in the healthcare industry.
- Prevent Cross-Contamination and Illnesses: Regular cleaning and disinfection using eco-friendly, green chemicals help eliminate harmful germs and prevent the spread of illness.
- Prevent Accidents and Injuries: Keeping floors clear and promptly cleaning spills reduces the risk of accidents. Ensuring all areas, including walkways and emergency exits, remain free of obstructions is vital.
- Improve Air Quality: Maintaining cleanliness in all areas, including air vents and filters, enhances the overall air quality.
- Promote Well-being: A spotless environment fosters a sense of calm, reduces stress, and helps patients, staff, and visitors feel better.
- Preserve Facilities and Equipment: Cleanliness helps prevent damage to furniture, equipment, and other assets, ensuring they remain in good condition.
Furthermore, Tanzifco promotes and uses environmentally friendly materials such as paper products, microfiber cleaning cloths, refuse bags, and eco-conscious chemicals. We also utilize equipment with filters and reduced noise levels.
