Anyone who works with floor maintenance and cleaning wants the absolute best appearance, and for some floors, that’s to create what we call “the wet look” or shiny finish. When you achieve that, you are pretty pleased and proud of yourself or your crew. But what about the possible hidden costs of such a shiny finish? One customer taking a tumble on a slippery floor can cost a facility millions of dollars in damages.

Russ Kendzior, founder and chairman of the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI), is well versed in the perils of slips, trips, and falls lawsuits. His non-for-profit organization has provided a wide range of safety services and educational training since 1997.

In this episode of Straight Talk!, the second in a series on floor safety with Kendzior, hear about the real-world scenarios that highlight the litigation that can emerge from a simple spill, and more importantly how to keep both your customers and your pocketbook safe.

Watch or listen to the complete episode below to hear what NFSI recommends to keep your floors looking good and your business lawsuit-free. You can also download an audio MP3 of the episode here
