Pilot Chemical Announces Two Staff Promotions

Pilot Chemical Co. has increased its commitment to sustainability with two recent employee promotions.

Hans Hummel has been promoted to the newly created position of sustainability manager. He has been with Pilot since 2018 when he joined the company from Lonza as business manager – biocides. In his new role, Hummel, who holds a Certificate in Corporate Sustainability from the Harvard Extension School, will develop, oversee, and administer Pilot’s sustainability strategy.

In a related move, Jeff Crume has been elevated to Hummel’s previous position of business manager – biocides. Crume has been with Pilot since 2017, serving in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as industrial sales manager.
