SC Johnson Assists British Soccer Team With Recycling

SC Johnson, parent company of SC Johnson Professional, has announced a new partnership with British soccer team Liverpool Football Club (FC).

Per the terms of the agreement, fans attending Liverpool FC games at the team’s home stadium, Anfield, in Liverpool, England, will be able to dispose of plastic drink cups branded with the SC Johnson logo in specially designed receptacles. SC Johnson will then collect the discarded cups and use the recycled plastic to manufacturer bottles for its Mr Muscle® line of hard surface cleaners. The company estimates the initiative will remove more than 500,000 plastic cups per year from the waste stream. SC Johnson entered a similar agreement with MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers last year.
