Sodexo Names New CEO

February 18, 2022 Sodexo Names New CEO

Sodexo has appointed Sophie Bellon CEO.

Bellon, the daughter of Sodexo founder Pierre Bellon, has served as interim CEO since Denis Machuel left the company last year. She has been with Sodexo since 1994 serving in a variety of leadership positions, most recently as chairwoman of the company’s board of directors.

“I would like to thank Sodexo’s board of directors for the support it has given me,” said Bellon. “I will continue to rely on the skills and diversity of the members of the board, as well as the commitment and expertise of the executive committee and our teams to accelerate Sodexo’s transformation and strengthen its competitiveness.”

In a separate move, Sodexo’s board also decided to appoint Luc Messier, a company director for the past two years, as an independent lead director. Messier is a former senior vice president for ConocoPhillips. Since 2015, he has been president of Reus Technologies LLC, a technology development firm.
