Industry Loses Former 3M CEO Desi DeSimone

Livio “Desi” DeSimone, former CEO and chairman of 3M, passed away January 17, 2017. He was 80 years old.
A native of Montreal, Canada, DeSimone joined 3M in 1957 as a process engineer following his graduation from McGill University. He served in various executive positions during the next three decades and was named CEO in 1991, a position he held until his retirement in 2001, The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
