CMI Trains the Trainers in West Virginia

ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) recently presented its Train the Trainer program to the West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (WVARF).

Based in Charleston, West Virginia, WVARF assists individuals with various disabilities to provide them with vocational evaluation, training, extended employment, and job placement. CMI Master Trainer David Swindle provided three days of onsite training to WVARF representatives. WVARF in turn is now offering the CMI Basic and Advanced Custodial Technician certification courses at various locations across the state of West Virginia. Earlier this week, WOWK-TV covered a signing ceremony for graduates of the program.

“It’s one of the first in the nation where we’re actually being able to take some of the frontline employees in the custodial industry and being able to provide them with a program with apprenticeship and then moving into a journeyman level,” Swindle said. “We’re really excited to be part of this.”

“ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute continues to be at the forefront of certification programs for professional cleaners and custodial technicians,” added ISSA Chief Global Education Officer Brant Insero. “It always surprises me to witness the impact that our brands have on the industry.   We will continue to forge ahead with our mission to educate, certify, and empower the past, present, and future members of ISSA.”
