3M Files Lawsuit Against Alleged PPE Price Gouging

3M has filed legal action in New York City federal court against Performance Supply LLC.

3M’s lawsuit alleges that the New Jersey-based Performance Supply is falsely claiming to be affiliated with 3M. In addition, Performance Supply is accused of trying to sell US$45 million worth of 3M-manufactured N95 respirators to New York officials at prices more than 500% above 3M’s list price.

3M is seeking an injunction blocking Performance Supply’s activities and an undisclosed sum of damages. 3M claims any damages awarded will be donated to COVID-19 relief funds.
