3M Reports 2nd-Quarter Sales Growth

3M has reported fiscal-second-quarter sales of US$8.4 billion, up 7.4 percent year-on-year.
Sales in the company’s industrial segment increased 6.8 percent to $3.1 billion during the second quarter, and sales in its health care division rose 4.9 percent to $1.5 billion. 3M’s safety and graphics division boosted sales 15.8 percent to $1.8 billion, while its electronics and energy division reported $1.3 billion in quarterly sales, a 3.6 percent increase from the previous year.
