3M to Expand Operations in Tennessee

3M has announced plans to invest US$470 million in the company’s Clinton, Tennessee operations.
The investment will be used to increase the plant’s sustainability and boost production of two fast-growing 3M product lines, Filtrete™ air filters and Command™ Brand adhesive strips. The upgrade project is anticipated to be complete by 2025 and will allow 3M to add more than 600 new employees at the Clinton facility.
“The talented people in East Tennessee, the partnership from the state government, and the flexibility of our manufacturing facility create an ideal environment for additional investment in Clinton,” said Mike Roman, 3M CEO. “The continued demand for innovative new 3M products, especially for home improvement, makes us optimistic about our growth in Clinton.”
