November 13, 2020 ABM Helps Federal Government Cut Energy Costs

ABM has initiated an energy-savings performance contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

The deal calls for ABM to improve energy efficiency at nine federal facilities in Alabama, Mississippi, and North Carolina. ABM will equip the properties with building management systems, energy efficient HVAC equipment, water conservation upgrades, and LED lighting.

Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the facilities’ energy consumption by 37% and save the GSA more than US$34.3 million in energy and operating costs during the next 20 years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
