ABM to Help Pennsylvania School District Cut Energy Costs

ABM has secured an energy performance contract with McKeesport Area School District (MASD) in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
The contract calls for ABM to install air conditioning in McKeesport Area High School and upgrade MASD’s facilities with high-efficiency LED lighting, updated building automation, and water conservation systems by 2021. ABM will also resurface the track and renovate the locker rooms at the district’s McKeesport Stadium.
Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the facilities’ energy consumption and save the school district more than US$7.8 million in energy and operating costs. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
