ABM to Help South Carolina School District Cut Energy Costs

ABM has secured an energy performance contract with Aiken County Public Schools in Aiken County, S.C.
The contract calls for ABM to upgrade more than 40 of the district’s facilities with high-efficiency LED lighting, updated building automation, and water conservation systems by 2021. ABM will also install a solar field at six schools.
Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the facilities’ energy consumption and save the school district more than US$70 million in energy and operating costs during the next 20 years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
