The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has announced the promotions of three staff members and welcomed a new addition to its government affairs team.

ACI has promoted Kristin DiNicolantonio to senior director of stakeholder communications. DiNicolantonio has been with ACI since 2020 and most recently served as the institute’s director of stakeholder communications.

Brennan Georgianni has been promoted to senior director of state government affairs. Georgianni joined ACI in 2021 and previously worked as director of state government affairs. In his new position he will manage state lobbyists, evaluate legislation, and testify in front of legislators.

ACI elevated Merla Zollinger to associate vice president of meetings. Zollinger has been with ACI for more than 15 years, most recently as its senior director of conventions and meetings.

In addition, ACI added to its government affairs staff with the appointment of Vittoria van Blommestein to program coordinator of public affairs. A recent graduate of George Washington University, she will support ACI’s federal legislative efforts in policy and regulatory research in her new position.

“The recent advancements in ACI’s team will allow us to further support and strengthen industry priorities,” said Melissa Hockstad, ACI CEO and president. “The promotions of Kristin, Brennan, and Merla, as well as the addition of Vittoria, will ensure that the new year is even more successful than the last.”
