Aramark Boosts 2nd-Quarter Revenue 19%

Aramark has reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of US$4.6 billion, an increase of 19% year over year.
For the quarter, Aramark reported an operating income of $182 million, a rise of 28% compared to the prior year. Aramark’s largest segment, North America food and support services, reported sales of $2.84 billion, a 22% improvement over the same time last year, while the uniform and career apparel division increased revenue 5% to $686 million.
“Now halfway through the fiscal year, we continue to make progress on our strategic priorities, resulting in strong business performance, additional balance sheet optimization, and positioning the uniforms services spin-off for success,” said John Zillmer, Aramark CEO. “Everything we do starts with our people and their commitment to our hospitality culture, and I see the results of that unwavering focus every day.”
