Attune Air Sensor Joins GBAC STAR Registered List

August 18, 2023 Attune Air Sensor Joins GBAC STAR Registered List

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, has announced that Attune’s Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Sensor has achieved the GBAC® STAR™ Registered Programs & Technology designation.

The GBAC Advisory Council Scientific Board has assessed the technology for scientific validity, usability, practicality, safety, and efficacy. Attune’s IAQ sensor is the first monitor to be GBAC STAR Registered, verifying that it supports a high-performance cleaning and maintenance regimen. In 2022, the IAQ sensor became the first in North America to achieve UL2905 Environmental Claim Validation from UL Solutions.

“The GBAC STAR award further distinguishes our IAQ sensors from competitors and proves they are equipped to handle air quality crises in real time to the highest standard,” said Serene Almomen, Attune CEO and co-founder. “We are proud to offer this technology to schools and buildings nationwide to help actively mitigate against the threats of airborne pollutants and viruses.”

“This registration is reserved for a technology or program that has been vetted by experts and helps meet a higher level of cleanliness and safety, and truly do what they claim to do,” added ISSA Executive Director John Barrett. “Congratulations to Attune on being GBAC STAR registered.”
