Cintas and ISSA Launch Search for Top CustodianFebruary 2, 2021
Cintas Corp. is now accepting submissions for its annual Custodian of the Year contest.
The eighth-annual contest calls for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay by March 2 describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. Ten finalists will be announced March 16, at which time online voting for the winning custodian will commence on Cintas’ website.
The winning custodian will receive a cash prize of US$10,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his/her school. The winner’s school will also receive a comprehensive training and development package from ISSA valued at $20,000 and enrollment in the GBAC Fundamentals Online Course, provided by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA. The nine runners-up will each receive $1,000 and free tuition to one ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) training event, valued at up to $1,500.
“Custodians keep facilities running by creating a safe and healthy environment for all building occupants and visitors,” said John Barrett, ISSA Executive Director. “Their unwavering dedication and commitment is astonishing and ISSA is honored to help Cintas crown the best custodian for the second year in a row.”
