Clorox Donates $250K to Vaccine Administration

March 29, 2021

The Clorox Co., parent company of CloroxPro™, has donated US$250,000 to international humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief.

Clorox’s donation, made through the company’s Clorox Company Foundation, consists of a cash contribution of $200,000, and an in-kind donation of $50,000 worth of Clorox® disinfecting wipes. The funds and products will be distributed to 250 Direct Relief clinics providing COVID-19 vaccination services to underserved communities across the U.S.

“Direct Relief, through its charitable work across the U.S., is keenly aware of how hard COVID-19 has slammed community health centers and clinics, the communities in which they work, and the people who rely on their services,” said Thomas Tighe, Direct Relief CEO. “That’s we are deeply grateful for Clorox again providing an urgently needed charitable boost to these fine groups as they work to ensure the nation’s most vulnerable residents gain equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine.”

To date, the Clorox Company Foundation has donated more than $15 million in product and monetary contributions to public health research and COVID-19 relief efforts.
