Colgate-Palmolive Co. has reported second-quarter net sales of US$4.82 billion, an increase of 7.5% year-over-year.

Colgate-Palmolive reported a second-quarter operating profit of $974 million, or $0.61 per share, up 10% from the same period last year. In North America, Colgate-Palmolive’s net sales grew 16%, while its European division posted an increase of 1%. The company’s Asia-Pacific segment saw sales rise 3%, and its Latin America division posted a 38% jump.

“We are pleased to have delivered another quarter of strong top-line momentum along with an increase in profitability,” said Noel Wallace, Colgate-Palmolive president and CEO. “We believe we are well positioned to continue to drive top and bottom line growth through the balance of 2023 as our gross margin expansion, driven by sustained pricing and the benefits from funding-the-growth and other productivity initiatives, allows us to invest behind our brands.”
