Deadline Nears to Report Injuries and Illnesses to OSHA

June 27, 2018

Employers with 250 or more employees that are required to keep injury and illness records for the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration have until July 1 to submit these records from 2017. This requirement refers to employers in industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses, such as facility services companies.

Employers have three options to submit their records, including manually entering data into a web form, uploading a file, or transmitting data electronically via an application programming interface.

This is the final year employers have six months to submit their injury and illness records from the previous year. Beginning in 2019, establishments must submit the information by March 2.
