Ecolab 4th-Quarter Profit Jumps 75%

Ecolab, Inc. has declared a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of US$366.3 million, or $1.24 per share, up 75 percent from $208.9 million, or $0.69 per share, one year earlier.
The company reported fourth-quarter revenues of $3.3 billion, a decrease of 2 percent compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 2 percent, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 5 percent.
