Douglas M. Baker Jr., chairman and CEO of Ecolab Inc., has been  elected to the Mayo Clinic’s board of trustees.

The Mayo Clinic board of trustees is made up of 31 public representatives, physicians, and administrators and oversees patient care, medical education, and research at Mayo Clinic offices in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota, as well as the Mayo Clinic Health System network of clinics and hospitals.

“Doug is an outstanding leader who brings decades of successful national and global leadership to our board,” said Gianrico Farrugia, M.D., Mayo Clinic’s president and CEO. “Doug and Ecolab lead with innovation. We’re honored to have him join as a member of the Mayo Clinic board of trustees.”
