Ecolab Finalizes Spin Off of Chemical Division

Ecolab Inc. has successfully completed the separation of its Upstream Energy oil chemicals business.
The spin off was announced in February of last year and consists of two units, the oil field chemical production division and the WellChem drilling and well completion chemical business.
In addition, Ecolab announced the successful closing of the merger of ChampionX Holding Inc., the Ecolab subsidiary holding the ChampionX Business, with a subsidiary of Apergy Corp. The tax-free transaction was announced late last year.
