Ecolab Purchases Swiss Hygiene Provider

Ecolab Inc. has acquired vanBaerle Hygiene AG.
Ecolab’s purchase of the privately held Swiss manufacturer increases the company’s global footprint and offerings of cleaning, disinfectant, and hygiene solutions. In 2019, vanBaerle reported approximately US$20 million in sales. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“Hygiene plays a vital role in both protecting public health and ensuring business can continue to operate, protecting against an economic downturn,” said Nihad Hasagic, Ecolab vice president. “vanBaerle is expected to further expand our product line and service capabilities.”
