Ecolab Raises 2nd-Quarter Earnings 5%

Ecolab Inc. has declared a fiscal second-quarter profit of US$368.6 million, or $1.26 per share, up 5% from $351.3 million, or $1.20 per share, one year earlier.
The company reported second-quarter sales of $3.75 billion, an increase of 2% compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 8%, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 4%
