Essity Expands Operations in Brazil
April 9, 2024Essity plans to invest more than US$19 million in its Jarinu, Brazil, production facility.
The expansion project will more than double production capabilities at the Jarinu factory, which primarily manufactures products for Essity’s adult incontinence brand Tena. Essity has targeted Brazil as a region for growth, tripling the size of its business ventures in the country during the past five years, Nonwovens Industry reports.
“We are committed to the continued development of the country,” said Victor Hernádez, Essity vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s LATAM South region. “The expansion in Jarinu reinforces our conviction in the Brazilian market and in Essity’s capacity for innovation to meet the constantly evolving needs of consumers.”
