EvaClean Disinfectant Achieves EPA Approval

June 6, 2023

EvaClean has received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for an updated master label for the company’s PurOne Cleaner and Disinfectant.

The agency has approved EvaClean’s update of the disinfectant’s master label to include a soft surface sanitizer claim, shorter dwell times, and an official Candida auris (C. auris) claim. Previously, PurOne received EPA registration against dry surface biofilm. The disinfectant is one of a handful of products on the EPA’s List P that is registered as effective against both biofilm and C auris.

“The new label further substantiates how advanced our chemistry is,” said Steve Wilson, EvaClean CEO. “More importantly, PurOne provides a platform for educating healthcare professionals on the necessity for addressing surface biofilm to truly eradicate pathogenic threats.”

As part of that education platform, EvaClean has made a recent webinar on mitigating C. auris and biofilm available for free on demand.
