Evonik Recognized for Sustainability

Evonik Corp. has been named the recipient of a Responsible Care Award by the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic).

Established in 2005, the European Responsible Care Award recognizes chemical developers for their work to improve safe chemical management and achieve performance excellence. According to The Cleanzine, Evonik was the winner in the Safe and Sustainable Chemicals category for its sustainable biosurfactants platform and innovative glycolipid technology.

“Sustainability drives us, and innovation inspires us. Winning this award is clear confirmation that our biosolutions are driving the revolution toward sustainable chemicals,” said Johann-Caspar Gammelin, Evonik president of nutrition and care.
