Georgia-Pacific Donates to Auburn University

March 22, 2023

Georgia-Pacific LLC, parent company of GP PRO, recently contributed US$100,000 to Auburn University.

The funds will be used by the school’s Alabama Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering (AC-PABE) to purchase a new state-of-the-art digester, a key piece of equipment used in the paper-making process. AC-PABE’s current digester is more than 30 years old. The new device will allow for Auburn’s engineering students to better test and improve papermaking innovations. Georgia-Pacific is a long-time supporter of Auburn’s pulp and paper program.
