Georgia-Pacific Factory Recognized by EPA for Energy Efficiency

April 8, 2024

Georgia-Pacific LLC, parent company of GP PRO, announced its paper mill in Crossett, Arkansas, has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for exceeding the agency’s ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry goal.

The EPA recognizes manufacturing sites that reduce their energy intensity by a minimum of 10% within five years. The Crossett plant has lowered its energy intensity by 18.5% in the last three years.

“This is a great achievement by our Crossett team, and I am very proud of the work they have done these past three years,” said Deb Coduto, manager of GP’s Crossett mill. “This award aligns with Georgia-Pacific and the Crossett mill’s environmental stewardship goals, and we continue challenging ourselves to find more ways to reduce our energy intensity.”
