Industry Loses Longtime SC Johnson Employee

Victor Woodfield, former director for SC Johnson, passed away July 24, 2020. He was 87 years old.

Woodfield was born on August 11, 1932 in Plymouth, England. He served in the British Royal Army and Royal Marines from 1954 to 1957. Following a brief stint as a dental technician, Woodfield began his career with SC Johnson in 1960 as a salesman. He worked in a variety of leadership and management roles throughout his 26-year tenure with the company, retiring as director of worldwide exports in 1986. Even after retiring from SC Johnson, Woodfield remained active in the jansan community, contributing as a management and marketing consultant in Africa and the Middle East until 1993.

Woodfield is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gretchen Roufs; his daughter, Teresa Owles; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
